Duties
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for procedures
- Handle client interactions at the front desk, including appointment scheduling, check-ins, and answering inquiries with professionalism and warmth
- Collect and record patient histories, vital signs, and laboratory samples accurately to support diagnosis and treatment plans
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform basic laboratory tests; laboratory experience is highly valued to ensure precise results
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring medication levels
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a veterinary setting or laboratory environment is preferred; laboratory experience is especially beneficial
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments with compassion and confidence
