Parker Johnston Industries Ltd, a Victoria family-run company, is seeking a Roofing Maintenance and Service technician with sloped roofing experience to join their team in beautiful Victoria, BC. This is a local, full-time position, applicants must relocate to Victoria, BC, relocation costs can be considered. Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time.
Salary: Starting wage $36.00 - $40.00 for non-ticketed & $40.00 - $44.75 for ticketed journeyman.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Repair and maintain roofing applications on commercial and residential buildings
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be a ticketed journeyman roofer with sloped roofing experience , 10+ years experience will be considered if not ticketed
- Must understand and have good knowledge of all roofing applications
- Must have a current Fall Pro certification
- Must have excellent personal skills to deal with clients
- Must be able to work mainly independently and problem solve
- Must be able to work at heights in all types of weather and be physically fit.
- Must have a valid drivers license and provide a clean drivers abstract
- Must be able to be on call for 1 week out of every 6 weeks on a regular rotation
- Must be able to communicate in English.
