Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting packages, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a professional with strong communication skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. The Driver will play a vital role in supporting our logistics operations and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be able to drive extended high roof cargo vans
- Valid Ontario Drivers G license
- At least 3 years of G license driving experience
- Clean Drivers abstract
- Fluent in English
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Legal to work in Canada with a valid Sin Card
- Must be able to clear a background check
- Flexible schedule to work 8 to 11-hour work days / 40 to 50 hours weekly
- Must be able to effectively operate handheld delivery device and GPS
- Good customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift, move or push boxes up to 60lbs without assistance
- Must be able to drive a large vehicle for 8 - 10 hours
- Must be physically capable of repeatedly getting in and out of cargo van for duration of a 10hr shift
- Must be able to go up and down stairs
- Must be able stand, lift, bend, kneel, crouch, reach up or stretch for duration of shift up to 10 hours long.
Successful candidates will drive an extended high roof cargo van and be guided by a software system to deliver packages on a pre-determined route.
All candidates must go through an interview, drive test and background check before being considered for this position.
