Position: Director of Finance
Location: Saint-Laurent
Our client, a leader in the fashion supplier industry in North America is currently looking for a Director of Finance to oversee and improve the financial processes and systems of the company.
The Finance Director will be responsible for the efforts, results, and success of the organization's finance department. The Finance Director will provide financial advice and support to help senior executives make key decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing monthly and annual Financial Statements
- Prepare all official financial reports on a monthly and annual basis
- Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
- Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department
- Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
- Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
- Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
- Supervise financial team in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
- Seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk
- Collaborate with external auditors/public accountants to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
- Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
- Update and implement financial policies and procedures
- Create and maintain a policy manual for the finance department
- Work with human resources department to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department
- Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees.
Requirements:
- C.A. or C.P.A. designation required
- 5-10 years of experience in finance
- leadership skills/management experience
