Service Technician / Downhole Tool Technician
Genesis Oil Tool is currently seeking a Service Technician / Downhole Tool Technician for a full-time, permanent position.
Genesis Oil Tool is a privately owned, Canadian-based company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and service of specialty downhole tools. This position is based in a shop environment and involves the inspection, disassembly, servicing, assembly, and testing of downhole tool components.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently disassemble, clean, inspect, service, assemble, and test downhole tools
- Complete visual and dimensional inspections of tool components
- Follow internal procedures and quality requirements
- Accurately document service work, inspection results, and tool condition
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with downhole tools, mechanical assembly, or oilfield service equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid work ethic and willingness to learn
- Keen attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
Experience with downhole tools is an asset, but we are willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate.
The successful candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, and capable of working in a hands-on shop environment.

Pay: $47,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
