West Ottawa Specialty Care provides quality medical care in Ottawa’s west end. Patient care is our priority and we are looking to add a clinical assistant to our dynamic team. Office hours are between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Summer hours depend on the physician schedule with an increase in hours in the fall. This position is ideal for an IMG indeed to enter the Carms match in the future. Interviews will be held in person on Friday June 26 2026 between 3:00 and 4:30pm.
Responsibilities and Duties Include
- Scheduling appointments with patients
- Patient call backs as requested
- Computer data entry
- Obtaining patient vital signs
- Obtaining and summarizing patient histories
- Preparing clinical notes for physician review
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Additional Languages are an asset
- Ability to work independently
- Detailed oriented approach to tasks
- Ability to multitask
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient approach to patient care
- Medical degree
- Experience in a medical office is a strong asset
- Experience with Accuro EMR is an asset
