AMJ Ottawa is looking for friendly, reliable people with local moving experience moving industry to join Canada's largest coast to coast movers! This position is open to those with industry experience looking for a change of scenery or a fresh start
This is an in-person position, and you will start your day at our office. You will then head out into the community with a team; you rarely work on your own.
Start your day behind the wheel as a local moving truck driver, preparing your truck at the yard, loading up, and heading out to help families and businesses move with care and efficiency. You'll safely navigate short routes across town, working closely with your crew to load and unload furniture and belongings quickly and damage-free on multiple local jobs each day. End your shift by returning the truck, completing simple paperwork, and knowing you've made someone's move smooth and stress-free.
**AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY CONSIDERING APPLICANTS WITH PREVIOUS MOVING COMPANY EXPERIENCE.**
What To Expect:
- Variety; You’re not stuck in the same environment. You’ll be out in the community and travelling lots. Days move quickly.
- Challenging work; We’ll provide you with all of the equipment and safety gear to do this well.
- On-site training in our warehouse and training facility to ensure we prepare you for each challenge
- Working with a great team for the largest movers coast to coast!
How We Can Grow Your Career:

- On-site training and support to become Prime Fleet and Cross-Boarder qualified
- Growth to become a broker or commission-based driver running your own team

Requirements:
- You have a valid G / DZ / AZ drivers license, with a clean drivers abstract
- Flexible working hours, this includes occasional work in evenings and weekends
- At least 21 years of age; required for insurance purposes
- Have the physical stamina to lift/carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Safety footwear; we supply all other uniform apparel
- Knowledge of moving practices; wrapping furniture, packing and unpacking, tiering and securing loads, and safe driving
- Great attitude, are reliable, and hardworking
- Ability to perform insurance-required tests to ensure knowledge of safe driving practices is up to our standards
- Previous experience in the moving and warehousing industry is required.
- Ability to complete an RCMP-level clearance, cost of which is covered by AMJ
