POSITION
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision, leadership, coaching, and performance management of Personal Support Workers within a long-term care home. The Supervisor ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centred care that complies with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, Ministry of Long-Term Care standards, organizational policies, infection prevention and control practices, and all applicable legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Personal Support Worker Certificate in compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 regulations for PSW qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of PSW supervisory, team lead, or management experience
- Diploma or degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience preference in a long-term care facility
- Demonstrated experience supervising Personal Support Workers.
- Experience with resident-centered care, dementia care, palliative care, and responsive behaviours.
- Experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, attendance management, and performance management.
- Certificate in Leadership, Supervision, or Healthcare Management is considered an asset.

- Ontario's Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and Regulations.
- Resident Rights and Residents' Bill of Rights.
- Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards.
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) requirements.
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Privacy legislation including PHIPA.
- Collective agreements knowledge
