Billing Coordinator

KLM Planning Partners Inc. is a planning and design consulting firm that was established in 1988 providing land use planning and design services to clients across the Province of Ontario with offices in Vaughan and Cambridge.
What We Are Looking For:
KLM Planning Partners Inc. is currently seeking a contract Billing Coordinator who is detailed oriented and a self-starter to join our fast-paced team. Reporting to the Account Manager, the Billing Coordinator is responsible for the complete billing cycle from creating draft billing lists and draft invoices to issuing of bills to clients in accordance with Firm policies and procedures. The role provides exceptional billing support in a timely manner both to internal and external clients.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of organization skills, a keen attention to detail and strong customer service skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment. We are targeting an immediate start date.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with partners/file managers and Account Manager to prepare client accounts in a timely manner by preparing reports, creating draft billing lists and draft invoices for review by partners/file managers and completing edits for circulation to clients based on a monthly invoicing cycle and assisting with special billing requests
- Create and maintain client and project billing records and special billing performance reports
- Reviewing all client accounts for accuracy and adherence to client and partner/file manager guidelines
- Respond to and resolve queries about the billing process, invoices, billing templates and billing issues
- Assist with follow ups with accounts receivable as needed
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing results necessary to meet or exceed the department’s overall objectives and improve processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in a professional services or law firm environment
- Experience with BQE CORE and Quickbooks or comparable software is considered an asset
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands

Salary Range:
· $47,000.00 to $75,000.00
