Job Summary
Cedar Valley Dental Centre is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental office. This role is vital in ensuring smooth administrative functions, maintaining efficient workflow, and fostering a productive workplace. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating an organized, welcoming office atmosphere. As Office Manager, you will coordinate administrative activities, supervise support staff, manage vendor relationships, and support various departments to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, including front desk management and multi-line phone systems to ensure seamless communication.
- Coordinate scheduling and calendar management for executives and team members to optimize productivity.
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Handle human resources functions such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, and supporting payroll.
- Organize company events, meetings, and training sessions to foster team engagement and professional growth.
- Maintain accurate filing systems, bookkeeping records, and perform basic budgeting tasks to support financial oversight.
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office management with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to interact effectively with staff and clients.
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Cleardent is considered an asset
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of human resources practices including onboarding, employee records management, and training & development.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, and other financial transactions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Customer service mindset
- Dental administrative experience is a must.
