Position Scope
The Safety Systems & Data Coordinator (Coda Lead) is responsible for managing and continuously improving the company’s safety systems, with a primary focus on the Coda platform, training matrix, and safety data reporting.
This role serves as the single source of truth for safety data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and visibility across all sites and departments. The coordinator works closely with field teams, project management, and leadership to support system adoption, improve data quality, and provide meaningful insights that drive safety performance.
The role also supports standardization of documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting across North America, with the expectation that responsibilities will expand to support global operations as the safety program evolves into 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Ownership & Administration
- Own and manage the Coda safety platform, including structure, permissions, and functionality
- Maintain and administer the corporate safety training matrix
- Ensure system reliability, usability, and alignment with operational needs
- Manage user access, onboarding, and troubleshooting across departments
- Continuously improve system workflows to support field execution and reporting
Data Management & Integrity
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all safety data and documentation
- Monitor data quality and follow up with teams to correct gaps or inconsistencies
- Establish and maintain data standards across all safety documentation
- Support incident tracking, inspection records, training records, and compliance data
Reporting & KPI Visibility
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership and operational teams
- Provide clear, actionable insights on safety performance and trends
- Track key metrics (e.g., incident reporting, training compliance, documentation completion)
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
Program Support & Standardization
- Support rollout and adoption of the Off-Site Safety Program and Coda requirements
- Standardize forms, templates, and documentation processes across the organization
- Work with Corporate Safety to align systems with policies and procedures
- Assist in integrating new programs into Coda (e.g., LOTO, rigging, audits, inspections)
User Support & Training
- Provide training and guidance to employees on Coda usage and expectations
- Support onboarding of new users across departments
- Develop user guides, quick reference tools, and training materials
- Act as the primary point of contact for system-related questions and support
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Project Management, Engineering, Service, Controls and Installations teams to support system adoption
- Collaborate with IT and external developers (e.g., Coda specialists) to enhance functionality
- Support alignment of safety systems across multiple sites and regions
Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience in data coordination, systems administration, or safety support role
- Professional designation CRST or SRSP (or working towards) strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with data platforms (Coda preferred, Excel, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work across departments and support multiple stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Education & Professional Development
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Data Management, or related field preferred
- Experience or training in data analytics, reporting tools, or system administration considered an asset
- Commitment to continuous learning and system improvement
- Willingness to develop advanced skills in data visualization, reporting, and system optimization
