Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will be essential in guiding clients through their service needs, upselling additional services, and facilitating effective communication between customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
- Assess customer needs by listening carefully and asking relevant questions.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs.
- Prepare accurate estimates for services and repairs based on customer input and technician assessments.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
- Upsell additional services or products that enhance vehicle performance or safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area to promote a welcoming environment.
- Follow up with customers regarding their service experience to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and trust.
- Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
- Understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology.
- Experience as a mechanic is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to identify opportunities for upselling services or products based on customer needs.
- Sales skills that contribute to achieving service department goals.
