HOTEL SALES MANAGER / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Location: Fredericton, NB
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for our full-service hotel property in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
This is not an administrative sales position. We are looking for a motivated individual who can actively generate new business, build relationships, and secure room nights, meetings, events, corporate contracts, and group bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
- Prospect and secure new corporate accounts, government contracts, sports teams, tour operators, travel agencies, and group business.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, networking events, and property tours.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and community engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and event planners.
- Promote hotel meeting space, banquet facilities, and accommodation offerings.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and rate agreements.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and provide weekly activity and revenue reports.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Work closely with hotel management to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
Performance Expectations
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Schedule and conduct regular client meetings and hotel tours.
- Generate new corporate accounts and group business.
- Achieve monthly revenue and occupancy targets.
- Provide weekly reports outlining sales activity, pipeline opportunities, and confirmed business.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel sales, hospitality sales, business development, or B2B sales experience preferred.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for client meetings.
