We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking Fashion Design Student to lead the development of our first-ever Seasonal Apparel Line.
Your mission? To design functional, high-fashion clothing for dogs that integrates seamlessly with our existing harness collections. We want “The PawlineCo Look” to be unmistakable from Spring through Winter.
The Seasonal Roadmap
You will be responsible for conceptualizing and sketching a full calendar of dog apparel: Season
Collection Focus
Spring / Summer
Lightweight cooling tanks and UV-protective mesh tees designed for over-harness wear.
Autumn / Winter
“Urban Explorer” flannels and insulated “Arctic” puffer vests featuring custom weather-sealed zippers for D-ring access.
Signature Match
Creating “Twin-Set” looks where clothing patterns perfectly match our harness webbing and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sketching: Create designs that account for canine ergonomics (movement, comfort, and “potty-break” clearance).
- Harness Integration: Solve the “D-ring dilemma” by engineering clever slits, zippers, or internal loops.
- Material Sourcing: Research durable, pet-safe, and washable fabrics.
Compensation & Perks
While this started as a volunteer passion project, we believe in rewarding talent:
Flexible Stipend: For candidates who meet our specific design requirements and milestones, we offer a modest stipend/payment to assist with your studies or supplies.
- Portfolio Gold: Real-world experience in the booming $100B+ pet industry or related.
- Design Credit: We will feature you as a designer on our website and social media channels.
- Flexible Hours: We are 100% student-friendly; we work around your exams and studio deadlines
Who You Are
- A current Fashion or Textile Design student looking to build a unique portfolio.
- Skilled in digital or hand-drawn fashion illustration.
- Passionate about “Technical Apparel” (how clothes actually work and fit).
- An animal lover who understands that dogs come in all shapes and sizes!
