Duties
- Assist groomers by handling pets gently and securely during grooming procedures
- Prepare animals for grooming by brushing, bathing, and drying as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support with heavy lifting tasks such as moving large or heavy animals safely
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owners’ questions and ensuring their pets’ comfort
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries to pets or staff during grooming activities
- Help manage appointment schedules and keep grooming areas organized and stocked with supplies
Requirements
- Passion for working with animals and providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to handle pets gently while maintaining control during grooming processes
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform heavy lifting throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members
- Prior experience in pet care or grooming is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a lively, upbeat attitude
