Grizzly Door Systems is a leading commercial and industrial garage door company servicing Barrie, the GTA, and surrounding areas for over 50 years. Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team.
Summary
The successful candidate will prepare accurate estimates for a combination of commercial overhead, garage, and automatic doors, loading docks and equipment, man doors and more; including installation projects and service work. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, a strong team player, and eager to learn and grow within the company.
Responsibilities
- Review completed jobs in our CRM and prepare estimates for customer follow-up work
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project quotations
- Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, sales staff, and installation teams
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess project scope
- Track bids and assist with project handoff after contract award
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years estimating experience in commercial overhead doors
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with customers and internal teams; excellent english
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent knowledge of the Golden Horseshoe Area
