About the Role
As a member of the Human Resources Team, the HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department. Working closely with the HR Manager, this position supports a broad range of HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, compliance, and HR administration.
The HR Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employees and leaders, helping to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance initiatives, and contributing to a strong workplace culture.
What You’ll Do
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post job advertisements and managing candidate communications
- Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and conduct reference checks
- Prepare employment agreements, offer letters, and onboarding documentation
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities
- Maintain recruitment records and employee onboarding files
- Track policy acknowledgements, certifications, and training requirements
Employee Relations & HR Administration
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries
- Assist with attendance management, performance management, and accommodation documentation
- Prepare HR correspondence, including employment verification letters, attendance letters, and employee status changes
- Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files
- Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives
Culture & Employee Engagement
- Assist with employee events, celebrations, and recognition programs
- Support internal HR communications and employee information sharing
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
Training, Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate employee training and maintain training records
- Track mandatory certifications and compliance requirements
- Assist with WCB administration, incident documentation, modified duties, and return-to-work programs
- Support compliance with Saskatchewan employment standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies
- Maintain HR forms, templates, and policy documentation
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare reports related to attendance, recruitment, turnover, and training
- Maintain HR databases, spreadsheets, and filing systems
- Assist with documentation audits and records retention activities
- Support preparation of presentations, communications, and HR reports
What You Bring
- Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 4-6 years of Human Resources or administrative experience
- Manufacturing, production, or industrial environment experience is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting hourly production workforces is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Standards and HR best practices
- Experience working with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications
