Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled General Carpenters to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, including carpentry, and finishing work. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as restoration, concrete forming, cabinetry, roofing, siding, flooring, tile laying, and more. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing tasks with precision and safety while contributing to the successful completion of projects in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Perform concrete forming, masonry work, roofing, siding installation, and tile laying as required.
- Install cabinets, flooring, and other finishing components using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct restoration projects including caulking, rebar installation, and siding repairs.
- Assist with framing, carpentry, woodworking, and assembly tasks across various job sites.
- Handle plumbing and electrical work within scope of experience or under supervision.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material procurement.
- Operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely during construction activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, or general handyman work.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment (if applicable), and other construction machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to electrical work, plumbing, or specialized trades are a plus.
