We are recruiting for Personal Support Workers to assist a private male employer with Spinal Cord Injury with all activities of daily living.
Client is able to direct his own care and is looking for someone who is open and able to follow instructions.
Location:
- Richmond (Near Kingswood Elementary School)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 24 hour shifts
- from 6:00pm-6:00pm following day
- Saturday and Sunday
- from 10:00am-10:00am following day
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)
Daytime:
- Personal care such as bowel routine and showering and bed baths, catheter care, peri-care and personal hygiene
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Meal Preparation for breakfast and assisted feeding
- Transfer using Ceiling Lift
- Repositioning throughout the day
- Medication Administration
- Kitchen/Bathroom Cleanup, light housekeeping
- Therapeutic Exercises with bike
Overnight Care Needs:
- Transfers to bed, suctioning, and repositioning and hydration
Required Qualifications:
- Willingness to undergo PROP
- Respiratory care experience preferred
- Experience with Ceiling Transfers preferred
- Able to follow instruction and direction from employer
