Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, medical terminology, and case management, with the ability to provide holistic treatment to diverse patient populations. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing osteopathic techniques
- Provide manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation, and other osteopathic interventions
- Maintain detailed case management records and documentation of patient progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on health maintenance, injury prevention, and post-treatment care
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in all documentation and communication
- Manage scheduling and follow-up appointments efficiently using Microsoft Outlook and Word processing tools
- Assist in pediatric cases and acute care scenarios as needed
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly
- Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual or French language skills, to serve diverse populations effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to osteopathy, nursing, pediatrics, and acute care settings
- Excellent organizational skills for case management and time management within busy clinical environments
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding musculoskeletal issues and treatment techniques
- Experience in hospital environments or similar healthcare settings preferred
- Ability to analyze patient conditions critically and develop effective treatment strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care
