Title: Class 1A Manitoba Rural Route Driver/ Merchandiser
Address: B-1225 Plessis Road, Winnipeg
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Multi-Drop route hauling fresh/frozen (10-20 deliveries)
- Route is based out of Winnipeg and doing out of town 3x/week and other 2 days in city
- Operate Power jack
- Secure fresh and frozen products and materials securely in areas as needed according to POD’S, transport to delivery locations, collect signatures and payments
- Delivering customer orders by hand bombing and/or pallet drops
- Guarantee product is maintained at required temperatures with basic knowledge of refrigeration systems
- Perform daily maintenance checks and operating ELDs via GeoTab Drive
- Keep vehicles clean inside and out
- Enter order information on computerized hand-held device
- Adhere to all SOPs and company policies on an ongoing bases
- Handle customer inquiries and ensure positive customer interactions on daily bases
- Perform other duties as assigned
Employment Requirements:
- Class 1A license
- Experience with 53 foot trailers
- Must provide a clean driving abstract
- Must be physically fit – able to handle products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Will need to pass a criminal record check
- Experience with reefer trailers
- Must have a minimum of 2 years Class 1A experience in Canada
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have a smart phone
- Authorized to work in Canada
