KOSTER'S BAKERY is a well-known family-owned Bakery in Picture Butte, AB which has proudly served the southern Alberta community with fresh, high quality baked good for 35 years. We take pride in our tradition of craftsmanship and commitment to excellence as we create our variety of donuts, cakes, pastries, breads and buns for our valued customers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced BAKER'S ASSISTANT with a talent for CAKE AND PASTRY DECORATING to join or production team.
WAGES: $20.00-25.00 Based on experience and education.
Duties
As a BAKER'S ASSISTANT your responsibilities will include:
-Preparing and baking a large variety of donuts, pastries, cakes, breads and buns according to established recipes.
-Frying Donuts made from scratch.
-Filling, Icing, and Presentation of Donuts
-Decorating cakes and pastries with artistic flair using variety of icings, fillings, decorating techniques and finishing products to create attractive, unique and quality products.
-Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation of all products.
-Ensuring all food preparation meets safety and sanitation standards.
-Assisting with managing production schedules, product inventory and product rotation.
-Collaborating with the production team to create new products and seasonal products.
-Interact with customers to assist them with product information and special orders.
-Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the production areas, equipment and tools.
-Assisting with inventory management of baking supplies and ingredients.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in bakery production with a focus on donut, cake and pastry production and decorating.
- Graduate of a Baking/Pastry Program an asset.
- Skills in cake decorating, pastry techniques and creative design.
- A passion for baking and creating unique products that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with customers when needed.
- Knowledge of food safety practices within the bakery environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation.
- Willingness to work early mornings and weekends
