The Pig & Duke is a traditional Neighbourhood Pub located in The Beltline in a community called Connaught. We pride ourselves in serving great drinks, great food and most importantly a great time.
True to a tradition of informal gatherings, patrons will find communal tables where they can enjoy food, drinks and participate in various discussions long into the night. We encourage people to squeeze in wherever they find space and enjoy the Pig & Duke’s social experience.
Boasting over 2,000 sq ft of reclaimed barn wood, farm fence and mason brick from the surrounding areas of Calgary, we welcome you to come enjoy the charm of the Pig & Duke. So, find a chair or pull up to the bar to enjoy some beer and some fun banter! Cheers!
We are in search of a hardworking cook to join our team part-time, who can be trusted with ensuring recipes are followed and timelines are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to specifications
- Keep kitchen clean and organized
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation and food storage in accordance with AHS
- Reports to Supervisor and communicates food items that may need to be ordered or any Kitchen Equipment Maintenance
- Communication with FOH is necessary when it comes to menu items
Qualifications
- Food handling certificate
- Experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and multitask effectively
- Dedicated, dependable & motivated
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Able to work quickly, problem solve and think on your feet while maintaining poise in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, personable, and customer service oriented
- Passion for the service industry, desire to be part of a team and work hard
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Alberta Food Handling Certificate (preferred)
