Oxford Pallet & Recyclers is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician – Equipment & Facilities to help keep our operation running smoothly. What You'll Be Doing
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
- Assist with maintenance, repairs, and servicing of grinders and mulch colourizing equipment, loaders, excavators, telehandlers, and forklifts, conveyors and processing equipment
- Perform lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, component replacement, and installations
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Support welding and fabrication projects
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to help minimize downtime
Preventive Maintenance
- Complete inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform routine greasing, cleaning, servicing, and equipment checks
- Monitor equipment condition and report concerns
- Maintain maintenance records and service documentation
Shop, Building & Yard Support
- Assist with organizing tools, parts, and maintenance inventory
- Support general facility upkeep and minor building repairs
- Change lights, filters, and other routine building components
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard
- Support seasonal activities such as snow clearing and yard maintenance
Bonus Skills (Assets)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience with loaders, excavators, telehandlers, forklifts, or grinders
- Hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Experience in wood processing, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Additional hours before or after shift may be required based on operational needs
- Overtime paid after 44 hours worked per week
