Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of renovation and restoration projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a versatile skill set, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical work, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Renovator will collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver exceptional results on residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently for various construction tasks.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinet installation, and finish carpentry.
- Execute concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to meet project specifications.
- Conduct construction painting, tile laying, flooring installation, and caulking to enhance property aesthetics.
- Install plumbing fixtures and electrical components in compliance with codes and safety standards.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed.
- Engage in restoration projects including drywall repair, surface preparation, and surface finishing.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or renovation work with a strong understanding of building practices.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of various trades including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, painting, and concrete finishing.
- Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics related to electrical or plumbing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or confined spaces as needed.
