Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) experienced in IV therapy and infusion care to join our team on a part-time basis (1-2 days per month, 6-8 hour shift starting 9am). The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, and confident in providing safe infusion therapy independently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer IV infusions safely in accordance with standing directives and clinical protocols.
- Monitor patients during and after infusion for comfort and safety.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
- Maintain infection control and infusion safety standards (IPAC).
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and the clinic team.
- Adapt to alternating work environments across clinic sites.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Minimum 1 year of IV therapy/infusion experience (hospital, clinic, or home care setting).
- Strong venipuncture and IV insertion skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills.
Schedule & Locations
- 1-2 days per month to start with capacity to grow from there (up to 8 hour shift starting 9am).
- Flexibility to cover occasional extra shifts is considered an asset.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate ($40/hour)
- Orientation and training provided.
