Currently we’re seeking a Home Provider/Proprietor for a senior gentleman. We are looking for a couple who either has no children, or older children, and like to do a variety of recreational activities both indoors and outdoors. He would thrive in a calm home and enjoys gentle pets. Home Providers will provide guidance in daily personal care, physical activities, social skill development, decision making, and following current plans in place which follow personal safety. You must have the ability to be a positive role model and provide 24-hour care in a safe and positive environment.
Respite: The Home Provider will receive 4 paid respite days per month, during which the individual will be supported by alternate approved services.
Community Access Support: The individual supported receives 17 Community Access hours per week, which are delivered by external staff.

· Providing Emotional Regulation & Reassurance is key
Knowledge and experience with OCD would be considered an asset to this position.
You will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the individual(s) and that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services, and C.A.R.F. Accreditation Standards.
Entry Requirements
- High School Diploma, or Mature Status
- Suitable home (pass inspection)
- Class 5 driver’s license, reliable vehicle, valid insurance
- Experience in Human Services field
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Required Training (Some of the training is available through Etana)
- First Aid and CPR, Level C
- Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments)
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe
- Roles, Rights, Responsibilities
