Schedule: Flexible (6:00 AM–10:00 PM, Monday–Sunday)

About Pellea Fitness
Pellea Fitness is a Toronto-based marketplace connecting adult swimmers with experienced swim instructors for private and semi-private swimming lessons across Toronto.
Our mission is simple: help adults become safer, stronger, and more confident in the water while giving instructors the freedom to grow their own business.
We're looking for passionate, reliable Swim Instructors who enjoy teaching adults of all skill levels—from complete beginners overcoming fear to experienced swimmers improving technique.
What You'll Do
As a Swim Instructor, you will:
- Teach private and semi-private adult swimming lessons
- Create personalized lesson plans based on each swimmer's goals
- Provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
- Teach proper swimming techniques and water safety
- Monitor swimmer progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate lesson notes and communicate with clients when needed
- Represent Pellea Fitness professionally and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all facility policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification or Red Cross Swim Instructor Certification
- National Lifeguard (NL) Certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR Certification
- Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years teaching swimming lessons
- Experience teaching adults is considered an asset
- Comfortable working with beginners through advanced swimmers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and self-motivated
Requirements
- Must have access to a swimming pool where lessons can be taught
- Must have a smartphone with data
- Must have access to a computer or tablet with internet
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Professional liability insurance is considered an asset

Certification Funding
Need to renew or obtain your Swim Instructor, National Lifeguard (NL), or First Aid/CPR certification?
