CNC Operator

Porcupine Machining is a CNC machining and manufacturing shop serving the mining, fabrication, and industrial sectors in Northern Ontario. We're looking for a reliable CNC Operator to run and tend our machines and help keep production moving.
This is a position with room to grow. We're a small team, and the right person will have the chance to take on more responsibility, build new skills, and advance as they prove themselves.
What you'll do
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes) to spec
- Load programs, tools, and material; make offset adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to hold tolerances
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Keep your workspace and machines clean and maintained
- Flag tooling, quality, or safety issues before they become problems
What we're looking for
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid open work permit)
- Experience operating CNC equipment (or relevant trade schooling)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Solid attention to detail and a steady, safety-first work ethic
- Comfortable on your feet for a full shift in a shop environment
- Reliable, shows up on time, works well in a small team
Nice to have
- G-code editing / basic programming
- Experience in a mining or heavy-fabrication setting
- Forklift or overhead crane experience

- Job type: Full-time, permanent
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts
- Location: In person, 641 Falcon St, Porcupine, ON
