Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping Crew Lead to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge in horticulture and irrigation, and a passion for outdoor work. This role involves supervising a team of landscape technicians, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining client satisfaction. The Landscaping Crew Lead plays a vital role in delivering exceptional outdoor environments while guiding team members through various landscaping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of landscaping crew members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, planting, and soil preparation
- Manage irrigation systems, perform repairs, and ensure proper watering schedules
- Apply horticultural principles to enhance plant health and landscape aesthetics
- Coordinate construction activities such as installing features, hardscaping, and site preparation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during project execution
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
- Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies needed for daily operations
- Train new team members on best practices in gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
- Supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticultural practices, and landscape construction techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and operating landscaping equipment
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transporting equipment or team members as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

- Landscaping: 3 years (preferred)
