We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming environment. Your exceptional customer service skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail will ensure the smooth operation of our front desk and administrative tasks.
Note: This is a temporary maternity leave contract ending September 2027
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Manage and process insurance payments accurately
- Oversee and maintain accounts receivable, ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding balances
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office required
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
