Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll help customers find the right dog chews and treats for their pets, provide excellent customer service, answer product questions, and create a welcoming shopping experience. A genuine love of dogs, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude are a great fit for this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that match their dogs needs
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product specifications, usage, and compatibility to support customer decisions
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that attract attention and promote featured items
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked to create an inviting shopping environment
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product placement to optimize sales flow
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math ensures smooth transactions
- Proven organizational skills to manage time efficiently during busy hours and multitask effectively
- Customer service background demonstrating patience, active listening, and problem-solving capabilities
- Recommended but not required; having experience with or owning a dog(s)
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
