Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and have a valid driver’s license and passport. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly to management
Skills
- Proven experience driving commercial trucks with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of loading/unloading processes
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to delivery schedules
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Physical stamina and the ability to work long hours on the road in varying conditions
