Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Residential Mover to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently assisting clients with their moving needs, ensuring a smooth transition to their new home. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks with professionalism and care.
Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport household items and furniture during residential moves
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and forklifts as needed
- Assist clients with packing, wrapping, and protecting belongings to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with clients to coordinate move details and address any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during all phases of the move
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist in warehouse operations when not actively engaged in moving tasks
- Drive commercial vehicles for local or long-distance moves, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience in moving services or warehouse work is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during stressful situations
- Heavy lifting capability and physical stamina to handle large or bulky items repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively
- Commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; valid driver’s license required for driving company vehicles
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
