Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our offices, buildings, and various work locations. The successful candidate will take pride in creating a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Clean/mop offices, common areas, break rooms and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust throughout the buildings as needed.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers throughout buildings.
- Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces as required.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms daily.
- Maintain the Janitor closets/storage rooms in clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Clean outside of buildings when necessary, pick-up trash and debris.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and supply shortages. Replenish/restock supplies as needed.
- Perform seasonal and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Other housekeeping duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25-50 lbs. and performing cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working in office environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel between multiple building within the Happy Valley – Goose Bay area.
