The Job!
As the Payroll Coordinator, you will support the processing of high-volume, multi-provincial payrolls across Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will work as part of a collaborative payroll team supporting salaried, hourly, seasonal, and unionized employees. You will:
· Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for salaried, hourly, seasonal, and unionized employees in accordance with company policies and provincial legislation.
· Review, verify, and reconcile payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and statutory remittances.
· Maintain employee information within ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and related payroll systems.
· Process off-cycle payments, termination pay, lump-sum payments, and payroll adjustments as required.
· Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
· Assist with payroll reconciliations, year-end activities, and payroll reporting, including T4s and R1s.
· Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams regarding leaves, terminations, compensation changes, and payroll compliance matters.
· Assist with payroll audits, journal entries, union dues, garnishments, and statutory filings.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial payroll regulations and company policies.
What you bring to the job
You are a highly organized and detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
· 4–5 years of full-cycle payroll experience
· Experience processing multi-provincial payrolls, including Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec
· Experience supporting unionized payroll environments
· Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) — this is a key requirement
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with payroll data and reconciliations
· Experience processing payroll for hourly, salaried, full-time, seasonal, and unionized employees
· PCP Certification (National Payroll Institute) is strongly preferred
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
· Prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Expected Compensation: CAD $65,000 – $70,000
