Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Helpdesk Support technician for a part-time position. This role involves providing technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with network-related problems. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various operating systems and IT support tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment while supporting end-users with their technical needs.
The role will be on-site two days a week for 4 hours each and the 8 hours will be remote for a total of 16 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to user inquiries via help desk tickets, phone, or email, providing effective solutions for technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support software troubleshooting including operating systems such as macOS, Google Workspace, Mosyle MDM, SentinelOne.
- Assist with network issues involving LAN, VPN, firewalls, and other computer networking components.
- Manage and update support tickets using Notion
- Configure and support desktop environments and operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues when necessary and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain documentation of common issues and solutions to improve support efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with end-users to explain technical solutions in an understandable manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in IT support or help desk roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating systems including macOS and their respective troubleshooting procedures.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and basic networking concepts such as LAN setup and firewall configurations.
- Experience with Google Workspace Admin
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
