Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized schematics to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and system inspections.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
- Repair or replace components using welding, electrical knowledge, and mechanical skills.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure proper assembly and repair procedures.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working with heavy lifting equipment or industrial machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment required for vehicle and machinery repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work with industrial equipment in various environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred.
