Join one of Ontario’s premier tourist destinations at Cobble Beach! We are looking for a mature, hardworking employees, that are independent and have a pleasant attitude to join our Pro Shop team. You will provide guests of Cobble Beach with first class service in an organized and professional manner. Assist the Head Professional when required and maintain the golf services department to the best of your ability.
Duties and responsibilities
To serve the needs of the members and guests in accordance with the operational and health & safety policies and procedures outlined in the Cobble Beach Golf Links orientation manual, policies and procedures booklet and your detailed job description.
- Standard Pro Shop Responsibilities
- Booking Tee Times, Taking Payment, & Checking in Players
- Retail sales of pro shop merchandise
- Responsible for opening and closing the pro shop
- Responsible for balancing daily cash outs
- Monitoring Pace of Play for the day
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere
- Coordinating the day to ensure it runs smoothly
- Assist with coordination and execution of golf events
- Assist with merchandising of inventory ensuring all suppliers are properly displayed
- Work closely with all members of the Golf Services Team
- Other duties that may be assigned by management
Qualifications
· Committed to working in a high pace team environment
· Demonstrate ability of providing a high level of customer service
· Golf Knowledge is an Asset
· Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
· Strong Communicator that possesses a friendly and outgoing personality
· Professional Appearance and Mannerisms
· Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills
· Strong Attention to Detail
· Class G driver’s license
· Willing and able to work a variety of shifts (Early mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends and holidays)
Working conditions
· Primarily working indoors in a Merchandise Shop environment
· Some tasks may require time spent outside in variable weather conditions
Physical requirements
· Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
· Comfortable lifting up to 40lbs
