Overview
We are a well established family run business seeking a skilled Tailor specializing in alterations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in tailoring or garment alterations is REQUIRED; a strong willingness to learn and attention to detail are essential.
Duties
- Measure clients accurately and discuss alteration needs to ensure satisfaction
- Perform clothing alterations including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, replacing zippers, and other adjustments
- Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to complete alterations with precision
- Ensure all garments meet quality standards before returning to clients
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded
- Keep records of alterations performed for each client
Experience
- At least 2 years in previous experience in tailoring, garment alterations, or sewing
- Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments accurately
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their needs
- Attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination for precise sewing work
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects effectively

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
