The role of the Analyst is to provide support related to granting commercial financing. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the Account Executives, who are in charge of generating new transactions and managing active client portfolios in three key areas: business development, financial analysis and transaction execution.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for underwriting new credit applications received from partners (vendors, dealers, brokers and customers) as well with annual reviews and all other credit-related communications;
- Perform analysis of customers’ situation (financial statements, credit bureau, collateral gap) to formulate recommendations on financing requests;
- Perform profitability analysis for financing offered and develop pricing scenarios;
- Index company financial statements in NCF financial analysis software to determine the borrower risk profile;
- Assist NCF Account Executives in all facets of transaction processing, with a focus on improving NCF time to approval of financing opportunities;
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working with tight deadlines;
- Communicate directly with partners as well as internal teams (Sales, Credit, Legal and Operations) to gain a thorough understanding of the transaction.
- Participate in managing and maintaining healthy portfolios by identifying irregular accounts and communicating with relevant parties;
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure consistent professional follow-up with partners;
- Communicate credit decisions to NCF partners;
- Keep updated on market trends, current legislation, and NCF’s policies, procedures, products and services;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and one to two years of relevant experience;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English*;
- Excellent financial analysis and summarizing skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Autonomous, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to learn independently or collaboratively;
- Ability to manage several projects in a changing work environment;
- Outstanding team player;
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
