Job Summary
The Residential Cleaner is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Executive Director and performs various cleaning services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. This isn't just cleaning - it's helping seniors, families, and individuals managing health challenges feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing
- Changing linens and tidying personal spaces
- Deep cleaning tasks as scheduled (appliances, baseboards, windows, etc.)
- Light organizing as directed by the client
- Completing basic service records after each visit
Qualifications
- Dependable, punctual, and takes initiative
- Strong attention to detail: you notice what others miss
- Respectful and professional when working in clients' homes
- Prior cleaning experience preferred (residential or commercial)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Able to travel within Guelph and Wellington County
- Willing to obtain a clean background check
- Smartphone access for scheduling and communication
