Job Overview
Apeiro Construction is seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a valid DZ licence and strong knowledge of general construction practices.
This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to support construction and site operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, rollers, loaders, and other construction machinery. Candidates with fewer years of experience are still encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate strong knowledge, reliability, and provide solid references verifying their skills and overall construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, compacting, and site preparation work
- Operate equipment including: Excavators, skid steers, rollers, loaders, other machinery as required.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
- Work alongside crew members and assist with general construction duties when needed
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver’s licence
- Minimum 10 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Experience in general construction
- Ability to read site conditions and work independently
- Strong understanding of safe equipment operation
- Reliable transportation and strong punctuality
- Ability to provide references verifying experience and skills
Applicants Must Provide
- Valid DZ driver’s licence
- Clean or acceptable 3-year driver’s abstract
- References from previous employers
- Proof of relevant safety certifications (WHMIS, Working at Heights, etc.)

- Be insurable under the company’s commercial vehicle and equipment insurance policies
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional and safety-conscious attitude on site
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications
