No Limits Underground Ltd. is a privately owned underground utility contractor based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We specialize in directional drilling, utility installation, hydrovac, excavation, and underground infrastructure work throughout Manitoba and surrounding areas.
We are looking for an experienced Directional Drill Locator / HDD Locator to join our crew. The right candidate will have experience with underground utility construction, understand the importance of accurate locating, and be able to communicate clearly with the drill operator, foreman, and crew.
This is a full-time position with steady work, overtime opportunities, benefits, modern equipment, and room to grow with a local company.
Responsibilities
- Locate and guide directional drill bores safely and accurately
- Operate F5 and/or F2 Falcon locating systems
- Communicate clearly with the drill operator during drilling operations
- Assist with planning bore paths and identifying utility conflicts
- Work safely around existing underground utilities, traffic, equipment, and excavations
- Assist with pullbacks, mud mixing, and general drilling operations as required
- Help troubleshoot field conditions, bore path concerns, or equipment issues
- Maintain accurate daily records and report production, delays, or equipment concerns
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional
Requirements
- HDD locating experience
- Underground utility construction experience
- Experience with F5/F2 Falcon locating systems considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license required
- Class 3 with Air Endorsement preferred but not required
- Class 1 License considered a strong asset
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on project requirements
- Willingness to travel out of town when required
- Strong communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must currently live in Canada
