Job Overview
NovaXpress Courier Services is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Ottawa team. This position plays a key role in supporting our warehouse operations by assisting customers, coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff, and ensuring accurate communication throughout the delivery process.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic logistics environment while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist customers with shipment tracking, delivery updates, and service-related questions.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, dispatch, and drivers to resolve customer concerns.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment and customer information.
- Prepare and process shipping documents and other administrative paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office applications and internal systems.
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups as required.
- Support warehouse operations by communicating shipment status and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a warehouse, transportation, courier, or logistics environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using transportation or warehouse management systems is an asset.
