Driller Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Working safely, using PPE and safe work practices
- Assist in maintaining a safe work site
- Assist Driller with drilling operations
- Handling drilling equipment, augers, rods, and various tools
- Recovering core samples
- Operating mobile equipment and light vehicles
- Assist with preparing equipment for mobilization and demobilization
- Routine equipment maintenance, refuelling and lubrication
Qualifications
- Previous experience an asset, but not required
- Must work safely
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License (AZ/DZ an asset)
- Physically fit, able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Mechanically inclined
- Capable of repetitive movements and heavy lifting
- Flexible to changing conditions and work environments
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Enjoys working in various environments, urban, rural, construction sites and remote locations
- May require security clearance, background check, Drug/Alcohol Screen and Fit for Duty tests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
