Trevor Frances Recruitment is supporting a confidential search for a Plant Manager to lead operations at a specialized manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. This role is well-suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day plant operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing production, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a strong, safety-focused team culture.
Job Duties
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including raw material intake, production processes, and final product shipping
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 employees in a collaborative, performance-driven environment
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support business growth initiatives by ensuring high-quality output and efficient turnaround times
- Maintain compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety and environmental regulations
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure operational continuity
- Foster employee engagement through cross-training, clear communication, and consistent leadership presence on the production floor
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated hands-on leadership style with the ability to support and troubleshoot technical processes
- Experience working in a unionized environment is required
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain logistics
- Ability to operate effectively in a smaller, fast-moving production setting

Pay: $73,786.22-$110,000.00 per year
