Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Supervisor to oversee and promote safety protocols within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position offers an opportunity to lead safety initiatives, conduct training, and support continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures aligned with industry regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across the company drivers/vehicles to identify potential hazards.
- Lead safety meetings and communicate safety expectations effectively to all drivers.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide training sessions on safety protocols, proper equipment use, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop training & development programs aimed at enhancing employee safety awareness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements through ongoing monitoring and reporting.
- Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement by analyzing safety data and implementing best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in Transportation with a strong understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Prior experience in training & development related to driver safety is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and facilitate training sessions effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry-specific safety practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels in safety programs.
