Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and the use of various accounting software. This role involves managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and supporting the company’s financial health through meticulous account analysis and reconciliation. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and supporting budgeting and auditing processes.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and summaries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using software such as SAGE 300
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Oversee bookkeeping activities, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized within the accounting system.
- Conduct audits and assist with internal or external audit processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of payroll expenses.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial services projects and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within a corporate finance environment.
- Working experience in in accounting software such as Sage
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and auditing procedures.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
