Overview
We are seeking a responsible and attentive Night Driver Class 4 to join our team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles during nighttime hours to transport passengers or goods efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and seniors. Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish and English, are highly valued to enhance customer service and community engagement. Duties
- Safely operate Class 4 commercial vehicles during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport passengers or goods efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Assist with boarding and disembarking passengers, providing excellent customer service and support, especially for senior citizens or individuals with special needs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and passengers in both Spanish and English when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols related to working with children or vulnerable populations.
- Uphold professionalism in appearance and conduct during all interactions.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or transportation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Experience working with children or seniors is a plus, demonstrating patience and compassion.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with diverse communities.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries courteously and professionally.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation is beneficial for basic troubleshooting and maintenance awareness.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for clear reporting and coordination with team members.
- Previous teaching or training experience is advantageous for guiding new team members or assisting passengers as needed.
